So the Randoms are busying away on 2011 plans and wondering how come it’s nearly August ? Has summer passed us by already ? Week 3

Oh it’s all go today….

So far we’ve had a few new pages of rewrites that I woke up at 6am this morning with panic that I needed to change a few sections; I’ve had two fillings done; had our waiters in to meet; sang through a few numbers and managed to get a lovely Cheese and Ham toastie for lunch.

Work is well underway, lines are well underpar, and I am well under the table… and its only Monday! Och well, onwards and upwards.

Bridezilla Hits The Blog

First of all, I can only apologise for not updating you all sooner peeps. Yes planning a wedding is a *cough* challenge… or in laymen’s term (who or what is a laymen?) a fricking nightmare!

What tablecloth colour? Are thrones tacky (answer NO)? Should I wear a wedding dress to make a statement? Will we have enough money in the budget to serve a 3-course meal or will people need to settle for Strawberry Laces? There are all the rather pertinent questions we’ve been arguing… sorry… debating, this week.

And don’t even get me started on music choice… can you believe that Kylie or Madonna don’t do personal appearances at gay weddings!?! What is that about?

I’ll keep you posted on all the goss… promise!

Ellen here again, your friendly neighbourhood intern!

So the London run was incredibly succesful! I know this not only because I know but because my Mummy and Daddy went to see it! They took along their theatre going gang (shout out to Mr Frame and Genie for the support!)

They loved it and she has bought the script!!! I think Douglas Maxwell may be getting some fan mail pretty soon…

Other big news from my Mother is that we have had our first celebrity sighting at Promises Promises!

Yes Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr Will Young himself was in the Soho Theatre audience in London! (Bet Johnny is kicking himself he was up here in Glasvegas!)

So now it is back onto the Scottish tour dates for Promises Promises, kicking off up here in Irvine at the Harbour Arts Centre on the 18th!

Well chookies I hope you have booked your tickets… or you are in serious trouble!

Paisley is already sold out! Traverse opening night is now sold out and I am told that the rest of run in Traverse is running out that door. SOO… get your tickets booked NOW!!!

And dont forget – we are hitting London town in just over a week. A fortnight run at Soho Theatre…. come down and pay us a wee visit… you know you want to!

The A Team

Well what a day it was yesterday!!! Aberdeen gig was finished and time for the team to travel down to St Andrews for the Byre gig. Easy? Yes. Easy when the van breaks down? Hell no! There was Dave, Gary and Kay all standing in the hard shoulder of the motorway for over 2 1/2 hours waiting…. and waiting… and waiting… and waiting a bit longer. They left at 8.30 in the morning and didn’t get moving again until 1.45. Yes, but in that age old saying “The Show Must Go On.”
And it bloody well did. Through some miracle (well the miracle of having a great tech team and great staff at Byre) the show managed to go on… and on time as well.
Lets hope tonight in Stirling there’s no drama (other than the stuff that we rehearsed!)

Yes Randoms

Johnny here! I’m up to my oxters in… well cleaning products mainly. See I really should be writing, not blogs, but scripts. Panto scripts, a new Little Johnny script (stay tuned we announce the new show very soon and are almost wetting ourselves with excitement, thank god for Tena!) and emails galore. However I am cleaning the bathroom instead. It makes me feel less worried about deadlines. Anywho… we’ve had terrific performances at Eastwood, Cumbernauld and Carnegie Hall. This week we are travelling further North.

Yes we are hitting Aberdeen (Lemon Tree) on Weds, St Andrew (Byre) is Thursday’s stop, Friday in Stirling (macrobert my panto stomping ground) and then round off the week with the lovely Howden Park in Livvie! Get your tickets booked, this show is a stonker! (Get me Mr Modest!!!)
